Short
Articles & Single Web Pages
You
can make money without a website of your own. You can use the free
website services or you can create products like e-books or
how-to videos
and have others do the legwork and market them on their websites
for you.
Perhaps
you really dont want to bother with building a web site. Maybe
you just want to write and express the thoughts, ideas and knowledge
in your head and, perhaps, get paid for it.
Free
websites like Squidoo.com and HubPages.com allow you to easily create
a single web page about any topic. What is really
amazing
is that they
also allow you to list items from other online stores like
eBay, Amazon, Netflix, and Orbitz and get a share of the profits!
If
you have never been to Squidoo.com, I highly recommend you check
it out. There are over half a million web pages (Squidoo
calls
them Lenses)
about any topic you can imagine. It is really easy and fun
to put them together and you dont need any technical
knowledge.
Another
approach is to write articles for online article
directories like EzineArticles.com.
These are
short articles, usually between 400 and 600 words, and
can be about
almost any topic.
Each article has a place for author bio information, which
includes a link to the authors web site. If you dont
have a web site, you can set up a free blog at wordpress.com
or blogger.com, where you
can set up links to related affiliate programs.

Creating
E-Books and Infoproducts
If
you are considering building a website for your business, you should
also consider creating an infoproduct, such
as an e-book or even a video series.
Is
your business experience & expertise something that can be recorded
in digital format to help others? You can give the visitors to
your website the choice of buying your services, or purchasing your
information.
This
section describes how you can create a book in the form of a computer
file an e-book, and market it online. You can then make your
e-book or videos available for others to promote on their websites.
Here
are few of your options:
ClickBank is an online store that sells only digital products like e-books,
videos and software. They make it simple for
other websites
to promote
your e-books, and also for you to offer the e-books of others
on your website, usually for around 50% commission!
Even
if you dont have an e-book you can find one or several related
e-books on ClickBank and promote them on your website,
and make as much as the author does!
Private
Label Rights works (PLR) are e-books, videos, and software that you
can sell as your own. You can claim to
be the author
of these PLR
books, change them as you like, and sell them with full
rights as if you wrote them.
This
sounded a bit strange to me when I first
heard
about
it, but
it is a huge business
on the web.

If
you are planning to write your own e-book, a PLR book on the same
subject would give you real head start, even
if you
rewrite
all of the content. There are hundreds of PLR e-books
on almost any topic available for under 10 dollars.
E-books
have a number of advantages
over printed
books:
Writing
an e-book will give you another marketing angle for your website
visitors. You could offer the
e-book as a bonus
for those
who subscribe
to your mailing list. The e-book will help establish
you as an expert in your field, and will continue
to market
your products
and services
even after they have left your website.
